An interesting and valuable contribution to the growing body of English language pilgrimage guides.

A valuable introduction to the history of the 88 temples included in the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Along with the new Shikoku Japan Route 88 Guide,
this book begins the long overdue process of disseminating English information about the pilgrimage and all henro will benefit from the information.

This straight-forward, easily portable book will be very helpful for foreigners visiting all or some of the temples of the Shikoku pilgrimage route.
A book like this has been needed for a long time.
